December 7, 2006 - Canada Geese flying over.. some more here I think they'd be good to catch when I can manage a shutter speed of more than 1/400 or so..one day..

December 24, 2006 - Sandhill crane flight In Bosque for the day..very few decent shots; they say the numbers are the same or more of cranes and snow geese, but they're nowhere to be seen now..between Nov and Dec, the huge masses, the noise is no longer there..a little disappointing..but when they close they still look great :) just one more close-up here

November 10, 2007 - a sneak peak at the Bosque Del Apache season ! the sandhill cranes are here, so are the crane ponds - back again !! it looks like a good season is about to begin. about 2500 sandhill cranes and 20,000 snow geese seem to have arrived already !

Snow Geese in flight, Bitterlake NWR, NM. Feb 2006. The migratory birds were almost gone, these white birds had troubled me - I couldn't them in focus, in decent exposure.. and then end of season, I finally got some of these beauties.

November 26, 2006 - Snow geese take-off It's quite overwhelming to!
  see hundreds of snow geese take off at the same time - I tried here a sortof abstract with a low shutter speed to get that rush! I got some good Bosque shots today; some sandhill cranes in flight today - it was a good day, jus! ! t a little!
  cloudy, but wonderful skies - one fellow loomed in my frame and filled it and I didn't loose my cool- rather proud of that :) Hopefully I'll be in Bosque another weekend soon :))- care to join ?!

Jan 13, 2008 - Sandhill cranes in flight, Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife refuge. I think this will be my last trip to Bosque this season. There are now about 50,000 snow geese h!
  ere and 13,000+ sandhill cranes. All bird shots shot with D300+300 f4+ 1.4 TC. The D300 was just wonderful. I will try to catch with other dailies of the DPC this week :)

October 28,2006 - the sandhill cranes are here ! every year, sandhill cranes migrate for the winter from alaska/Canada south to NM and around.Last year was the first time I ever saw this, and I nearly cried..it's very ove!
  rwhelming especially in the late eveni! n! g !
  when they return home to their lakes..the sight of hundreds of birds in the air, the noise, it is absolutely awesome.. these are at Bitterlake NWR, NM..Bosque is the best to get close to them, but they're coming everywhere now :) it's a very exciting time to be in NM :)
